LAND ROVER
Defender goes through the sieve of 007
James Bond's next film, No Time to Die, scheduled to open on March 31 at the Albert Hall, in London, and then to hit cinemas on April 2, brings reinforced reasons of interest for those who like cars. In addition to the Bond Girls and the monumental beating of the bad guys, it will also be possible to see the new Land Rover Defender in action. And what action ...
In the video that the English manufacturer now released, it is possible to see three units of Defender jumping, skills that end most of the time as the wheels down, as is assumed, but in others with them up. All to prove that not even an occasional “capodatela” prevents the SUV from continuing to walk, even if it is more dented.
In addition to Defender, Triumph motorcycles also take the promotional ride that the 007 films provide, but the focus is decidedly on the English jeep, which until now has always been known for its “pure and tough” philosophy with regard to the whole- o-terrain. If the jumps look more flashy, the way the vehicle evolves through the muddy seas will impress potential customers.
The Defender will be offered in a short version, with 4.32 m in length, and another longer, with 4.76 m, as incidentally always happened in the British SUV. Subsequently, a commercial Defender will appear, with only two seats, a version that was the most sold in Portugal for many years.
But the new generation of the model will be the first to propose, in addition to diesel engines, with 200 and 240 hp, other gasoline engines with 300 and 400 hp, the first 48V hybrid engines with the aim of reducing consumption and emissions.
