X Tractor, an autonomous electric tractor

Japanese tractor manufacturer Kubota has just introduced the X Tractor, an electric model with an autonomous driving system. The launch, made in Kyoto, Japan, celebrates the company's 130th anniversary. The model has tracks instead of wheels. The brand did not reveal details such as power or time needed to recharge the batteries.
The X Tractor operates with an artificial intelligence system. The engine is electric and the batteries combine solar and lithium-ion technology. According to information from Kubota, it is imperative to introduce artificial intelligence solutions in agribusiness. With this, it would be possible to face the lack of manpower in the sector and improve the efficiency of the equipment used in the field.

The company also informs that the autonomous system can operate on uneven terrain. The equipment automatically changes the weight distribution according to the floor conditions. To move through a plantation, for example, the X Tractor "climbs" alone.
As it has an electric motor, the tractor tractor does not emit pollutants. Thanks to the intelligent traction system, the X Tractor can easily change direction, accelerate and reduce speed alone, regardless of the type of terrain.
