DUCATI

The two-wheeled plane is of Italian origin

No one has any doubt that the best bikes in the world, if we focus exclusively on super sports models, are those that participate in Moto GP, in terms of power, speed and efficiency. But we are talking about prototypes, legally prevented from driving on a road open to the public. For those who want more civilized versions, there are motorbikes with a strong Moto GP inspiration (sometimes they even use the engine, frame and suspensions) available at very high prices, a little like what happens with the super-sports frame wheels, whether they have badges of the Ferrari or Lamborghini.
The latest “toy” among the super sports bikes with the competition's genes is the Ducati Superleggera V4, which leads comfortably. Production is limited to 500 units for the entire planet, but that does not prevent it from being the most sophisticated, most powerful and most effective. It starts with the V4 engine with 998 cc, similar to the ones that animate the units of the Moto GP, which provides 231 hp if equipped with the Akrapovic exhaust, which may give rise to some discussions with the most refined (or armed) policemen. equipment to measure noise).

If you want to avoid unnecessary problems, you can always exchange the Akrapovic for an exhaust that makes engine noise drop and, with it, power to 220 hp.
In addition to the V4 engine, the same type of geometry used by Moto GP bikes because it is more compact and does not pinch the vehicle's tilt capability, the Superleggera V4 uses a carbon fiber chassis, such as competition units, which it goes from the frame to the structure that supports the mechanics, passing through the front and rear suspension, fairing and wings, common in Moto GP and now also available in series models, albeit reduced. Note that at 270 km / h, Ducati's fairing provides 50 kg of additional aerodynamic support on the front wheel, allowing the model to accept greater acceleration.
With just 159 kg, a true featherweight in this segment, which for the second time could drop to 152.2 kg with the adoption of the Racing Kit, the Superleggera V4 assumes itself as the best in the weight / power ratio among the models approved for driving on the road.
