TESLA
Elon Musk company and another record
After having announced sales figures for the fourth quarter of 2019 in early January, in which it traded around 112,000 vehicles, 15.5% more than in the previous quarter and a new record, Tesla finally revealed the financial data for the last quarter of the year: $ 7.384 billion in turnover, dividends paid to shareholders of $ 2.14 per share and an EBITDA profit of $ 1175 million.
The figures announced by the electric vehicle manufacturer surprised analysts, who had anticipated a turnover of $ 7.047 billion and $ 1.62 paid per share. This overcoming of expectations, announced already after the closing of the stock exchange, had as a consequence a new arrow rise in the opening of the transactions, in which it jumped from $ 580.99 at the close, to $ 644.71 an hour and a half later, in a rise 10.9%.
In addition to the detailed values of the financial results, which can be consulted in the gallery, Tesla also revealed that it is already manufacturing the Model Y, a model that came to be expected only at the end of the year. The American manufacturer also confirmed that EPA, the American version of the European WLTP system, which determines vehicle consumption and emissions, has revised the range of the Model Y upwards, which rose from the initial 280 miles (451 km) to 315 miles (507) km), making the Tesla the most efficient SUV in the world, according to the manufacturer.
Regarding vehicle production, the last three months of 2019 allowed the Model S and X to sell 19,475 units, the best quarter of the year, as well as the Model 3, which delivered 92,620 vehicles. In the full year, Tesla claimed to have sold 367,656 cars, forecasting to raise the bar above 500,000 units in 2020. To achieve this goal, the company has some Model Y units, around 100,000, and the contribution of Gigafactory 3 , the factory owned by the brand in China, from where 150,000 vehicles are expected to leave in 2020, destined for commercialization in Asian countries.
