DAKAR 2020

Stage 6: Bobby PATTON'S overturning

Came from baseball, passed the Baja 100 and landed on the Dakar. In the world of sports, Bobby Patton's name is mostly associated with baseball. The American businessman (texano) is, like The Legend Of Magic Johnson basketball, one of the owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers, six-time World Series winner. But he's recently made a name for himself in off-road races, and the top exponent is the Dakar.
It all started as a challenge when, in a group of friends, he ran with a 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser in the Vintage Class of the Baja 1000.
To his great surprise, he achieved victory in this first attempt. The successful businessman continued his journey on the Baja 1000, this time in a much bigger 'monster': a blue Jimco Racing, known as Fastball, in which he competed during the San Felipe 250.
Bobby Patton likes challenges and at the age of 50 he was facing one of the biggest of his life: the Dakar. Next to him was Jimco Racing owner Robbie Pierce, who is an Inductee Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee.
I was because they dropped out today after the roll-over you can see on the video. The navigator had to be disengaged, but he doesn't anticipate any more serious injuries. You were scared. Maybe not even that. The Toyota Hilux of the Overdrive is the one who hasn't been taken care of at all.
