TESLA

Even more aggressive dual power model 3

“Acceleration Boost” is the name of the upgrade that will thrill Tesla's customers this Christmas, especially those who own or are buyers of the Model 3 Dual Motor, the power-boosting version that translates into greater power. acceleration ability.
The upgrade, available over-the-air, like the others, thus preventing a trip to the workshop, was released on December 18th, with US customers being the first to benefit from the power gain. Tesla announces that the new software makes it possible to gain 5% on accelerations, which will say little to customers who are driving calmer and more driven to maximize autonomy, but it will be an important “treat” for those who want it. Tesla beats the competition and, above all, its combustion engine rivals.
This power increase, which has already been estimated at about 51 hp, a close increase of 11%, accompanied by a 12% gain in torque, makes the Model 3 Dual Motor go from 0-60 miles at 3.9 seconds instead of the previous 4.4 seconds. This puts the power of this Model 3 at 504 hp, a gain achieved at the expense of more power from the front engine and a small boost to the rear engine.
This is the second power increment Model 3 is targeting. The first came in October, when it started to enjoy another 32 hp, also improving the acceleration capacity. For our country, where you work at km / h instead of miles, Model 3, which now announces 4.6 seconds to go from 0-100 km / h, should now announce about 4.07 seconds to same level of acceleration. The news is that while the first power boost was free, to access this "Acceleration Boost" customers will have to pay $ 2,000, or about 1,800 €.
An owner of a Model 3, already with the update, tried to measure the performance gain and, moreover, compare the model with the update with a similar one without the update, recording everything on video.
