Already many drivers have gone through this. A car that runs out of fuel, either for distraction or any kind of breakdown, and here we are forced to ask someone for help to bring us one or two liters of fuel to get to the pump. But in the midst of all the confusion, we rely on a minimum of common sense from the person we ask for help. This account proves that this premise is not always true.
Someone recorded the moment on video, otherwise it would be hard to believe that all this truly happened. One driver went to a fuel pump to fetch what appears to be gasoline. Typically, this is done using a jerrican, ideally suited for this type of transport, which means that even if it falls over, it does not spill and flood the cabin or trunk with a liquid that tends to catch fire. pretext and for which even vapors are dangerous.
In the absence of a jerricã, the woman could have provided herself with a plastic bottle - which is forbidden in Portugal, since there are plastics that are attacked by gasoline, giving rise to leakage, although this means that both are in contact. over an extended period. As the plastic bags were not designed to carry liquids, so the plastic bag started dripping gas through every (many) hole it had, which you decided to put gasoline and the first bag within a second, to be sure. that now would be guaranteed. Which obviously did not correspond to reality, since the first bag poured into the second and this one, with more or less holes, would eventually pour into the trunk of the car, soaking the entire rear in gasoline.
But the serious problem was still missing, which was to close the bag (or rather the bags) as tightly as possible, which seemed more like an impossible mission. But for the driver, nothing that would not be twitched… It's just a pity that the person who filmed the event did not take the opportunity to call the police or follow the fuel-soaked vehicle. So we would know what was the outcome of this unfortunate event.
