In total, Rossi has 30 races in the 125cc class, 30 races in the 250cc class and his Phillip Island 340th in the premier class.
With 400 GPs in the bill, Rossi can be proud to have participated in 42.5% of the 940 GPs since the start of the 1949 World Cup.
In addition, Rossi, who has won races with seven different bikes throughout his career - Aprilia 125cc, Aprilia 250cc, Honda 500cc, Honda 990cc, Yamaha 990cc, Yamaha 800cc and Yamaha 1000cc - finished in the scoring zone in 354 of these 400 GPs. Over the years, Valentino has competed in 38 different circuits and won at least once in 29 of them. The highest number of wins came from the Catalunya and Assen tracks, where the Italian won ten times in each career. Jerez and Brno, on the other hand, are the circuits where Rossi raced the most, with 24 GPs distributed among the three categories.
With his win at the 2017 Dutch Grand Prix, Rossi has the longest-running career in the sport, as it took 20 years and 311 days between Assen's triumph and Brno's 125cc victory in 1996.
Asked what he would say if he was told early in his career that he would reach 400 GPs, Rossi replied: “It's something you don't expect. But honestly, especially when I was young, but overall, I never had a clear idea of what would happen in my career, how long I would run… ”.
“When I was 17, you saw a 25-year-old guy and it was like I was a grandfather. Now I'm 40 .. Can you imagine? ”He commented. “But, yes, it is a good achievement. I didn't expect it either, because I didn't know what to expect when I started my career, ”he said.
