The Boxster GTS in this test comes with a mid-mounted turbocharged 2.5-liter flat four engine that makes 365 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. It's also got a seven-speed dual clutch automatic and is limited to rear-wheel drive. The 911 Carrera 4S, on the other hand, has a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat six with 450 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual clutch automatic with all-wheel drive.
