Brand launches SQ8 with V8 biturbo diesel engine

The Q8 comes in this SQ8 version with the same powerful engine as the SQ7, a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged diesel that delivers 429 hp and 900 Nm of torque from 1000 rpm. With these figures, the SQ8 reaches from 0-100 km/h in mere 4.8 seconds, having the maximum speed, as usual, castrated at 250 km/h. The V8 is equipped with 48 volt technology and a small lithium-ion battery, which drives an electric compressor that keeps the turbos always full and thus eliminates the turbos response time. The car has the capacity to ride in electric mode up to 22 km/h. The SQ8 is equipped with standard four-wheel carbon brakes, as well as pneumatic suspensions and various driving modes housed in the Drive Select. On the side of the options is the four-wheel steering, the sport differential on the rear axle and the active stabilizer bars.
To highlight this SQ8, Audi introduced some changes, namely the four tailpipe exhaust at the rear, the most pronounced diffuser and painted gray, the larger and redesigned rims, new air intakes at the front, plus all the part cosmetic in the exterior and in the interior. The car will go on sale in the coming weeks, with Audi planning to make a gasoline version of the SQ8 to be sold in some markets such as, of course, the North American.
