LE MANS 2019
Ford colors for farewell
Ford today showcased the decorations of its machines for the 2019 edition of the 24h Le Mans. The American brand has sought inspiration from the winning decorations of the past for a tribute to the brand's successes.
"In 2016, Ford returned to Le Mans to mark the 50th anniversary of our incredible 1966 victory and we celebrated in the best possible way by winning the race," said Bill Ford, chief executive of Ford Motor Company.
"Being on the podium on behalf of the officials was a moment of pride for me and I hope to return to Le Mans this year to support the team as we approach our last race in this chapter."
Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance, added: "The Ford GT was created to take Ford back to the world of GT endurance racing. This factory program has been a great success for our brand and we have enjoyed the many challenges that have arisen during these four years. Le Mans is not yet the end of the factory program as we still have many more races from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2019." Fábio Mendes, direto de Portugal
