ABT ready with Golf

It is not the first time and it will not be the last, that ABT Sportsline presents a bold and interesting project involving one of the most outstanding sports compact of the moment, namely the Volkswagen Golf R.
For this occasion he used a formula that is already known in the work of the renowned German specialist, who is no other to subtly modify the image with new wheels, leaving intact the already attractive body of the higher-performance version of the Volkswagen Golf, incorporating a number of vitamins into the mechanics to take an extra income that will always be welcome by all. It may not be the wildest preparation ever presented involving this car, but it may be the most reliable ABT ever developed for the compact. The athletic figure and the suggestive image that presents the German model receives the presence of four sets of different wheels to distinguish it from a new version of the factory, being available in different sizes and finishes, these being the ones called ABT ER-F , FR, DR and GR. The latter are those that are shown in the copy of the images, with a glossy black finish and a size of no less than 20 inches. The line is completed with games of 18 and 19 inches. But the main protagonist of the project is the turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that hides under the hood, a 2.0 TSI block that develops 300 hp and 400 Nm of maximum torque, but thanks to the presence of the ABT Engine Control control unit able to increase these figures significantly. In fact, the sports compact now delivers a total of 350 hp and 440 Nm, an increase of 50 hp and 40 Nm.
Another element of great importance that directly affects the behavior of the car is suspension. In order to keep up with the new thruster figures, three very important components were introduced: specific springs, height-adjustable shock absorbers and stabilizer bars. The final touch of the design comes through four chrome exhaust outlets with a diameter of 102 mm each and an improved sound that will not go unnoticed. Autonews
