Have you ever imagined walking the streets of your city and finding a car in the style of the movie Transformers? The Israeli company, City Transformer introduced its recent creation: a "collapsible" electric car.
This electric car was specially designed to facilitate parking within cities, where places are scarce. The City Transformer has developed a mechanism (which is already patented by the company itself) that allows you to change the dimensions.
Thus, in parking mode, the width of the car is similar to a motorcycle. On the other hand, it has the width of a passenger car, when it is driving it on the road.
This peculiar electric car is identical to Renault's Twizzy model at the dimension level. As it is small, it allows you to reduce the number of problems that arise in cities, namely facilitates maneuvering in spaces of small dimensions and helps you to park in places where only a bicycle or a motorcycle could park.
Best of all, it provides the same safety as any conventional car when in driving mode.
Many cities in Europe are banning the circulation of cars driven by fossil fuels. But with this car, it will not have any problem related to the environment, being able to circulate in the cities where the vehicles moved by diesel and gasoline are prohibited.
The company believes that all these features in a single vehicle is a perfect option for use in fleets, as well as to integrate a system of sharing of electric cars.
Autonomy
This environmentally friendly vehicle offers you a battery with a range of 150 kilometers. This capacity is enough to drive daily on an urban route. In turn, it also incorporates semi-automatic driving. But so far, no details are known about their technical characteristics or equipment.

The prototype of the City Transformer has a length of 2.35 meters. It allows to transport two people, one passenger and one driver, positioned one behind the other. This detail was "stolen" from Uniti One or Renault Twizzy.
