A tunnel closed to traffic and the KTM RC16 Having put Marc Márquez on a Honda RC213V on one of Japan's most famous curvy roads, Red Bull has now focused on one of the new MotoGP signings. As you already know, Miguel Oliveira will run from next year in the structure KTM Tech3, the second equipment of the Austrian manufacturer in the category queen. With Red Bull as the main sponsor of the project, it was hoped that any of these days would take the talented Portuguese driver to mount some event, like little, curious. And in the midst of preseason, Oliveira has gone to visit the Alps to roll with his KTM RC16 for one of the most tunnels. The KTM pilot has been in charge of leading the reopening of the Gleinalm tunnel which, inaugurated in 1978, only had a single tube. In 2017, the construction of the second one was completed, but since then the original restoration has been working and, following the original plan, from 2019 both directions can be used. The appearance of Red Bull at the opening is not accidental, since it connects the city of Graz by motorway with the facilities of the circuit of Spielberg, where the Austrian Grand Prix is celebrated.
The event lacks any technical sense and is more than anything else, a spectacular marketing action that has left a unique gallery of photos and a sound that we have rarely heard.
