Carro Elétrico e-up VolkswagenE-UP is already worth less than 4000 euros

Volkswagen's E-UP electric car price has been revised and the manufacturer will bet on reducing the price by around 4000 euros.Volkswagen has come a long way, but continues to bet on the future of the e-up! City model, totally electric. Although you can only drive up to 160 kilometers (in NEDC cycle) with a load, this is the perfect distance for daily driving. After all, about 80% of drivers do not make more than 50 kilometers per day. With an electric motor of 82 horsepower, powered by a battery of 18.7 kWh, the model e-up! low maintenance costs and does not release CO2 emissions. Both the inside and the outside of the e-up! is a true attraction full of elegant details. To make it more accessible to the public, the German manufacturer decided to lower its price. So far, in force in the German market, his ideal companion for the day to day cost 26,900 euros. But, Volkswagen withdrew 3,925 euros and, currently, the e-up! electric costs 22,975 euros. In Portugal, this model also promises to become quite competitive.

The e-up! consumes 11.7 kWh at 100 kilometers, for a total of 1.76 euros (if the price of electricity remains at 15 cents per kWh). It is clearly a very economical model and VW should present a more attractive price in Portugal, being "strongly repositioned, although the final value is not closed".Volkswagen is one of the brands within Europe that has most bet on the new generation electric vehicles, but will only make them available at the beginning of 2020. For now, it offers an electric motor in the e-up! and on e-Golf.The future I.D. should be called Neo and the German brand promises to match the price of electric to the diesel version of Golf that costs 23,500 euros (in Portugal, the value is higher because of VAT). It will be bigger, more powerful, with a autonimia of 330 km in WLTP or 500 km in NEDC, incorporating a battery of 48 kWh.The low price of e-up! will force new strategies on the part of competitors, namely the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe, which nowadays prices above 30,000 euros. In turn, a customer can get undecided between the e-up! and the future I.D., being able to take the option to wait a few more times.
