JAGUAR

Har du set Jaguars nye logo?
End of the line for diesel and gasoline engines of the brand

Jaguar blossomed the day it got rid of the yoke of Ford, which obviously mismanaged the manufacturer, much as it did with all the others it bought and then sold, without being able to afford it, from Land Rover to Aston Martin. Focusing on Jaguar, the brand has now come to admit that it is seriously considering assuming itself as a manufacturer of exclusively electric vehicles in the footsteps of Tesla.Jaguar has conceived one of the best electric SUVs on the market even now that Tesla Model X, Audi e-tron and Mercedes EQC are already known. In addition to being powerful and fast, it has a large capacity battery and the luxury does not stop you from offering the driver an excellent road behavior, one would expect, but also off the road, where i-Pace is amazing. However, if Jaguar actually designed this electric model, the reality is that it does not produce it. Neither the car, nor the engines, much less the batteries. That is, the investment in the production system was approximately zero, since the British chose to delegate the manufacturing to Magna, a company located in Graz, Austria, a specialist in producing vehicles in small quantities. And the aim of the English brand was only 15,000 units.Perhaps excited by the (excellent) reactions of the market to i-Pace, coupled with less "lively" sales of gasoline and diesel versions, Jaguar is seriously considering turning exclusively to electric vehicles in five years time. And to test the waters, he made a point of sharing his goal, to see the reactions of potential customers. The decision is obviously risky for a number of reasons and, as if that were not enough, for the huge investments that it implies, because this time it will even have to invest in the productive apparatus, because only in this way can it ambition for lower unit prices and higher profit margins .
