TRADEMARK REGISTERS THE C-PACE DENOMINATION
According to Autoguide, Jaguar Land Rover registered the name C-Pace. This denomination fits perfectly with the current system of nomenclatures used by the British brand in its line SUV / crossover, so it can not have been created for another model that does not fit in that category. But for now there is no reliable information to confirm the arrival of another such project on the line.Trademarks usually register far more denominations than they usually use. The design and marketing departments do not only create a name for each model, but as a general rule, several designations are considered before deciding on a definitive one, adding that on many occasions the name of the model changes according to the market for which is directed. That is why they are often required to register names that most likely will not be used, or to record all possible combinations of a system of nomenclatures, as is the case of Peugeot, which has registered for decades all three-digit numbers with a zero in the middle to prevent anyone else from using them.

Currently the Jaguar crossover line is very complete, because the original F-Pace, have recently added the new E-Pace and I-Pace, the latter a battery electric, but is still to get a larger model, which for now has been baptized by all press like J-Pace, the next E-SUV of the British mark. The possibility that this model is called C-Pace is practically null, since Jaguar uses for each crossover the same letter of the equivalent sedan of the line, and this new model will be the equivalent of the XJ, in the same way that the F-Pace is the equivalent of the current XF and the E-Pace to the XE.So a new C-Pace suggests an all-new Jaguar crossover. According to some media reports, this will be a compact crossover smaller than the current E-Pace, although they also point to the possibility of an SUV coupe. However, there are rumors that the C-Pace will be a concept model similar to the Infiniti QX30, which more than an SUV or crossover as such, lies midway between the 'crossover' or over-hatch hatchbacks. If any of this information materializes, we will be faced with an entirely new product line in the UK company.
