SERIES 8 CABRIO APPEARS WITHOUT CAMOUFLAGE
The new Cabrio version of the BMW 8 Series came out completely without camouflage during one of the official photo shoots prior to its launch. The images were released by the British AutoExpress.The new BMW 8 Series was unveiled in its Coupe format in mid-June during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The version open for now remained unpublished, although there have appeared in the media numerous photos of prototypes of this version Cabrio, until now had not arisen without camouflage.


As it appears in the images, there are no surprises in relation to the closed coupe version. The model that serves as a model for promotional images corresponds to the version M850i ​​xDrive, equipped with the V8 engine of 4.4 liters and turbo double that delivers 530 hp and 750 Nm of maximum torque. This version has the same bumper design of the M Sport package, standard for the M850i ​​version and optional for the 840d xDrive. At least that way the coupe line is configured, as can be seen in the brand configurator, and there is nothing to indicate that the line of the Cabrio version will be different in this respect.


Taking a closer look at the images, we can see that there are no surprises in the design of the Cabrio version, which is only distinguished from the equivalent versions of the 8 Coupe Series in the absence of the roof and pillars, which causes small changes in the rear panels of the body. In addition, both the doors and the entire front have interchangeable elements between one version and another.


The aesthetic result is very visually appealing, the textile hood completely conceals itself and integrates seamlessly into the model line, with a chrome trim that sits across the top of the doors and back cover.This version is about to be presented and is expected to be seen along with Coupe at the Paris Motor Show 2018, which will be celebrated next October. Its marketing will start before the end of this year, so in December it will be available in the dealers of the main markets of the brand.
