NEW 2018-2022 PLAN FOR JEEP

The FCA Group yesterday revealed in Balocco, Italy, the strategic plan for the next five years of its main brands. Among the plans presented, the American Jeep brand, the true economic engine of the group, is outstandingly outstanding thanks to its excellent results and in the next five years will have many important new features such as new models (included in new segments), new pure electric versions of its main models and hybrid versions for the entire line, as well as the implementation of level 3 autonomous driving systems for the whole line in all segments.The number of new models and versions is very wide, highlighting the emergence of the already confirmed Wagoneer and small SUV, which FCA positions between segments A and B, as well as new versions of three rows of banks in segments D and E, which in the western markets are occupied by the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee.In the lower segments, between A and C, the biggest news will undoubtedly be the arrival of the new small SUV that will be manufactured in Italy (probably based on the Fiat Panda) and which theoretically will not be available in the United States. For now this model has no concrete date of arrival. Renegade, which will receive a facelift soon, will debut a new generation by 2022, and will feature all the advancements in terms of connectivity and autonomous brand driving. The current Compass will also receive an update before 2022, unlike the new Wrangler, which is a newcomer to the market, so there is still no date for an upgrade, but in the next few years both models will receive a whole series of technological innovations .In the larger segments there will be more news, with the emergence of a new generation of Cherokee, who has just received a facelift, and will debut a three-row version of banks, which for now the brand does not identify as a version of that model. The same scheme happens with the Grand Cherokee, which before 2022 will be replaced by a new generation, in addition to a new version of seven seats in the same segment.Finally, Jeep confirms the Wrangler pick-up version and the delayed arrival of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, which were already confirmed in the company's previous five-year plan and were delayed until this year, so before the end of this year 2018 should be presented.
