VW TRUCKS PRESENTS NEW CONSTELLATION LINE 24.260 COMPACTOR

A newcomer of weight has just reached the vocational family of VW Trucks: the Constellation 24,260 Compactor. The model brings even more robustness to urban cleaning operations, with the 3rd pusher axis, which does not lose traction even in difficult access roads, rugged topography and many slopes. The model is also equipped with a 19m³ compaction box, which boosts the transport of waste at each trip.Volkswagen trucks have been leading the waste collection segment for more than five consecutive years. Just last year, more than 40% of sales for this operation across the country were from VW models.



The powertrain is outstanding: with 256 hp of power and torque of 900 Nm, the MAN D08 engine brings the reliability and robustness in the market, in addition to the EGR technology, which is also among the exclusivity of the Volkswagen trucks in the waste collection market and adds benefits to the application.In addition to reducing operating costs by not requiring Arla 32 fueling, it provides better space utilization in the chassis, without interfering with chassis, and does not add significant weight to the vehicle. There is also the option of takeover for compaction of moving loads.The Volkswagen Compactor truck line also has specific items for the waste collection application, such as three-passenger seat, ramp starting handle, dual-focus mirrors, auxiliary maneuvering mirror, vertical exhaust and short bumper and enhanced, in addition to the option of automatic transmission.
