C-MAX: THE COMPACT MONOVOLUME NOW WITH MORE SPORTS

With the hectic heyday of SUVs around the world and the steady drop in minivans, Ford aims to revitalize sales of its representative in this category by introducing the new C-MAX Sport, a special edition only available in the five-seat version that is already available on demand in European markets. The new C-MAX Sport features a new aesthetic with body-colored bumpers, side skirts and rear skirts, plus 17-inch diameter - optionally 18-inch alloy wheels - and contrast details in black, such as the rearview mirror housings, the roof, the edges of the glazed surface and the front fog lights. The headlights have LED daytime running lights.Inside, the C-MAX Sport features a special design with seats upholstered in black fabric with contrasting gray stitching, the front seats have a new configuration to provide greater support and give them a sporty character. It also has a first-line equipment, with SYNC 3 infotainment system with voice control, 'Active Park Assist' system with perpendicular parking function, electric opening rear cover and handsfree function, external rear view mirrors with function bumpers, rain sensors and lights, plus keyless start with the 'Ford Power' button.

This special edition of the Ford C-MAX will be offered in combination with two EcoBoost petrol engines and two other TDCI diesel engines, all optimized to deliver generous performance with a higher level of efficiency meeting the demanding Euro 6 standard.

The 1.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline unit features a new cylinder deactivation system to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, a function that automatically activates at low engine speed in only fourteen milliseconds and is totally imperceptible to the conductor. This engine offers 100 and 125 hp, both with six-speed manual transmission and with gasoline particulate filter.
The second gasoline option passes through the most powerful four-cylinder EcoBoost 1.5-liter block with maximum powers of 150 and 180 hp. The least powerful is offered with six-speed manual and automatic transmission, while the second is only available with six-speed automatic transmission.
In the diesel part, the offer includes two TDCI propellers, the basic 1.5 liter with 95 and 120 hp, both equipped with a selective NOx catalytic reduction converter that has been improved in its operation. On a next rung, a 2.0-liter diesel engine is offered with two levels of maximum power - 150 and 170 hp - all four with manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
