BRAND PRESENTS NEW TRACTOR MOVED BIOMETANO FOR THE FIRST TIME IN BRAZIL

Brazil is the first Latin American country to receive the new biomethane-powered concept tractor from New Holland Agriculture. The prototype symbolizes energy transformation in the country's rural properties, with the possibility of the producer seeking its independence of fuel. The new concept tractor was built using previous methane-driven T6 prototypes to achieve a relevant technological breakthrough."The presence of the new concept tractor in Brazil is significant for two reasons: the importance of agribusiness in the country, responsible for sustaining the Gross Domestic Product and getting it out of a recession; and for stamping New Holland's commitment to sustainable, independent and state-of-the-art production, "says Rafael Miotto, vice president of New Holland Agriculture for Latin America.The new methane-powered concept tractor creates a vital link in the virtuous cycle that provides a CO2-neutral production in which the farm itself produces the energy it needs to run its operations, heat farming facilities and make its equipment work - Energy Independent concept Farm. Biomethane as a sustainable fuel is particularly suited to farms, as they have the raw materials and the space to house a biodigester to produce the gas."In 2013, the brand introduced the first prototype of the T6 tractor powered by methane, which has since been tested with its customers. In Brazil, the model arrived in 2017 and since then it has been in practical evaluations in the field, such as in Chácara Marujo, in Castro (PR), "explains Nilson Righi, product marketing manager.

Same efficiency and less emissions
The new biomethane-powered concept tractor uses a motor with advanced and efficient combustion technology specifically developed for agricultural applications by FPT Industrial, a brand that, like New Holland, belongs to CNH Industrial. The 6-cylinder NEF engine develops 180 hp of power and 740 Nm of torque, which guarantees a performance equivalent to the diesel-powered model.


Reinvented style
New Holland has reinvented tractor styling, inspired by automotive design, to create a fully integrated look while emphasizing iconic styling elements such as lights and aggressive hood air intakes. She also created the exclusive seat in sheet form.
The machine has a style that resembles automotive designs. The glazed cabin has a visibility of 360 degrees, ie increase of 20% compared to a standard tractor. The arched glass ceiling features a fully integrated Precision Land Management (PLM) receiver with an interior that provides an organized operating environment with all essential controls in the integrated armrest and additional parameters controlled by an interactive display. The display assembly, by the way, is fixed and moves with the adjustable steering wheel, ensuring optimum visibility of the information in all positions.
