SEDONA 2019 UPDATED IN NY

KIA took advantage of the celebration of the Hall of New York 2018 to present to the public a series of important news for the North American market. One of them was the new KIA K900 2019, of which we have already given the details this week. But in addition, the Korean manufacturer chose this automobile event to introduce the update of its well-known minivan. The new KIA Sedona 2019 is already a reality.Known in other markets - as the Brazilian - under the name of KIA Carnival, it receives important innovations both visual and in terms of technological equipment and finishes. A mid-life upgrade, with which the KIA Sedona will face the remaining commercial life of this current generation.Taking a look at the images from the outside, comes with a new front that resembles the KIA Sorento. It incorporates a new bumper, larger air intakes and a revised grille. Both the fog lights and the main headlights have also undergone different changes, since now they rely on LED technology.















In relation to the rear, the changes were smaller, although they are not less important. The lanterns have been readjusted and now show a chrome trim. The bumper has been redesigned to fit in with all the front changes. Depending on the finish set, the exterior will adopt a more sportive and dynamic image. New wheel designs of 17 to 19 inches should also be added.As for the interior of the KIA Sedona 2019, a cabin with deep changes arises. The instrument cluster has been updated and new USB inputs have been installed. A sunglasses holder and a wireless charger for compatible mobile devices have been added to the center console. The Infinity audio system was replaced by a Harman Kardon.

On the other hand, the rear seats benefit from a new infotainment system with two 10.1-inch touch screens. In addition, and not least, the new Sedona line benefits from new driver assistance systems such as front-end warning, blind spot warning and intelligent cruise control.
In mechanical terms, under the hood of the new KIA Sedona 2019 is a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 279 hp and 335 Nm of maximum torque, coupled with a new eight-speed automatic transmission which, according to KIA, helps reduce fuel consumption in relation to the previous model. Its commercialization in the United States will begin after its passage by New York.
