STARTECH LEAVES THE NERVOUS RANGE ROVER
As a worldwide novelty at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Startech leaves the new Range Rover Velar with a more aggressive image. At least until it is a reality the sporty and high performance SVR, with which will complete the line of the British luxury SUV.But in the meantime, the German preparer will present in the Palexpo an extensive customization program that greatly improves the profile of Land Rover's luxury model, designed especially not to break with the original elegant lines. This customization program has a total of 16 pieces that fit perfectly in place of the originals, so it is not necessary to make special modifications, simply replacing them. The front features a new large bumper with large air intakes and integrated daytime running lights, especially the horizontal one that is just inches from the asphalt, a much more powerful image than the standard model. The sharp wheel arches - with protective frames in the same body color - add sixty millimeters to the overall width of the Velar. The new rear bumper has a central part that shows two large escapes and a short diffuser with marked plumbing.
In addition, on the rear cover and at the end of the ceiling features a more prominent spoiler, almost a visor on the rear window glass. The modifications to the body are completed with the 22-inch diameter alloy wheels in Monostar M five-spoke design, painted black and with a central nut that can be black, silver, red or blue. They are paved with extra-wide 295/35 R 22 tires that fit perfectly into the large wheel archés.
This is aesthetically pleasing, as Startech has also been concerned with driving dynamics, offering a special module that controls the air suspension and can lower the height by thirty millimeters, improving behavior and driving with a lower center of gravity, at the same time time in which for all the mechanical supply is also offered an electronic sound module that generates a note of its own for the powerful V8 gasoline engine.
The interior has also been retouched by the German preparer with special details such as pedals and foot rest in aluminum, the usual door sill fills with Startech logo backlit, wood and carbon applications, plus the best leathers and other materials sophisticated to stow the benches in any color, betting on a more luxurious and sporty style, to the taste of the client.
