Q8 TO BE PRESENTED IN JUNE IN CHINA
The new Audi Q8, the new top model of the Ingolstadt brand SUV line, will be unveiled next June.The car will not be unveiled in China by chance because its presentation will coincide with the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the start of the production of the brand in this market, which is why Audi intends to unveil it during a specially organized event in Shanghai.The new German SUV coupe will use the same MLB-Evo platform used by the current Audi Q7, which will also share the mechanics and space on the assembly line as it will be fitted to the Audi plant in Slovenia. The new model will be slightly shorter but also slightly wider than the Q7, so the sporting aspect is assured and in relation to its aesthetics, the latest prototype photos of the model reveal considerably the keys of its design.In the last photos of prototypes that appeared in the network, we could see how the new Q8 acquires the front that already count the new sedans of the mark, with a Singleframe grid of polygonal form with horizontal lights of small size and fixed in the sides of the central grid. Next to the central grille, two side air intakes. From the rear, however, images have not yet appeared, but will feature lanterns with a very linear aesthetic, with a very thin line that runs all the way back from end to end.In mechanical terms there will be engines used in the Q7 line and even an electrified version, a possible Audi Q8 e-tron Plug-in Hybrid, plus a more than likely SQ8 sports version. Inside there will be the best know-how of the engineers and designers of the German brand, with some elements borrowed from the latest Audi A8, therefore a very luxurious and technological cabin.The Q8 presentation in June indicates that in the second half may be available in major European markets, but for now the brand has not confirmed the arrival of the new model to dealers.
