Skoda reveals new Fabia
Skoda unveiled the refurbished Fabia before its presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, which runs from 8 to 18 March.One of the most significant changes concerns the line of engines. The 1.4-liter diesel version will no longer be marketed, the new Skoda Fabia will only feature 1.0 liter three-cylinder petrol engines with power outputs ranging from 59 to 109 hp. The two most powerful versions will be equipped with TSI engines and the remaining with MPI engines. The most powerful engine can be combined with a DSG 7-speed automatic transmission.
According to Skoda, gasoline engines will be as efficient and frugal as diesel.
The new compact will receive state-of-the-art technology from larger models such as blind spot sensor, rear obstacle detection and automatic maxima. The aesthetic changes are subtle, the overall design remains, highlight for the modifications in the front section, namely new LED lighting.In addition to technological improvements and a redesigned front, the new Fabia will feature a new interior with bicolored seats, a new instrument panel, LED light in the luggage compartment, USB ports for the rear seats and a number of creative solutions integrated in the designation "Simply Clever". The infotainment system has also been improved, will integrate a touchscreen of 6.5 inches compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
