BYTON
MORE DETAILS OF YOUR ELECTRIC SUV BEFORE BRAND
With CES 2018 around the corner, the companies that will be there rush to anticipate the latest news that will be revealed. The new Chinese brand called Byton, which belongs to Future Mobility (FMC), will attend the event to be held in the city of Las Vegas. As we show here, at the end of last September the company had already released the first images and confirmed the first details of the prototype that will be in its booth. It will be an SUV with a fully electric mechanic and coming up equipped with a very advanced technology. With just a few days left until CES 2018 opens its doors (will be celebrated between the 9th and 12th of January), Byton returns to show an advance of its model.Although the SUV that Byton will present is not the final production version, it will result in a commercial model that will go on sale in China in no time. It is described as "an intelligent intuitive vehicle" and was designed for the "next era of intelligent, shared and autonomous driving mobility".
The pictures on the outside do not show much detail, although you can see part of the grid and the door area. The absence of conventional rear-view mirrors ratifies the fact that we are facing a concept car. It will use LED technology for lighting systems. It will feature face recognition technology so the vehicle recognizes the driver and unlocks the doors to be able to access the interior without the need to use a key.
Once inside, the element that will attract the most attention will be the huge panoramic screen that has practically replaced the traditional instrument panel. As can be seen in the images, the screen can be divided into different sections to have access to the various information, both for the driving as for the multimedia options for the rest of the passengers. Byton ensures that the vehicle will feature voice recognition technology, touch controls and biometric identification. Some systems may also be accessed through gestures. In mechanical terms, for now there are not many confirmed numbers. It is expected that your battery pack will allow you an autonomy of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge. Byton's SUV production will be at the company's facilities located in Nanjing, China. It will go on sale in the Asian giant in the year 2019. A year later it will reach Europe and the United States. Following the launch of this model, Byton will use its platform to design a sedan and a minivan.
