TOYOTA
FT-AC CONCEPT REVEALED IN LOS ANGELES HALL
The Japanese brand finally revealed its great surprise for the Los Angeles Show, the Toyota FT-AC Concept, a medium-sized crossover type that features a very sporty and off-road aesthetic, with clearly inspired lines and accessories for use off the asphalt. Its image is very modern, but also has an aspect that can serve as an advance of a new production model of Toyota, since in its denomination uses the acronym FT (Future Toyota) that the Japanese brand generally uses in the conceptual models that precede an actual production model. The FT-AC seems to follow the trail of the recent Toyota FT-4X Concept and Toyota TJ Cruiser Concept, two flashy off-road projects unveiled in the last halls of New York 2017 and Tokyo 2017, which also speculated its possible production. This new prototype can be proof that at least the brand is studying a possible model of that segment to add to the line.
Regarding its technical part, Toyota did not reveal many details about the FT-AC Concept. It has only confirmed that it has a gasoline engine that has full wheel drive, plus an advanced integrated torque vectoring system, so you can maximize your performance when driving both on and off the asphalt. Likewise, Toyota has confirmed that the mechanical scheme may rely on some kind of hybrid system, but without revealing more details.Regarding its chassis, it is not known which structure it uses, so, and considering its appearance, it can be defined as a crossover instead of using pure all-terrain expression.
