The Japanese brand started marketing the Suzuki XBee in Japan. It is a small retro-looking crossover, developed on the basis of the styling of the Hustler Concept MPV of 2013. Like the Baleno, Ignis, Swift and Dzire, the new XBee is manufactured on the HearTect modular platform.Suzuki XBee - pronounced Cross Bee - had made its debut at the Tokyo Salon in 2017 in the form of a prototype and now debuts in Japan as a production model. Like the Hustler Concept, its design adopts a format of retro style, a constant that is repeated in the latest releases of the Japanese brand.Outwardly his body seems to have been inspired by the Toyota FJ Cruiser, but on a reduced scale.

As for the interior, the XBee has many points in common with the Ignis, model with which it shares the instrument panel, the climate control and even the steering wheel. Regarding the equipment, the new XBee has an infotainment system with a touch screen, automatic climate control, 360 degree view camera, etc.The engines offer the Suzuki XBee is based on the 1.0 liter Boosterjet engine that develops 100 hp of power and a maximum torque of 150 Nm, arising coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. In addition, a version is offered featuring Suzuki's SHVS micro-hybridization technology and optionally the four-wheel drive system.The all-wheel drive versions also include a driving mode selector that includes two alternatives called Sport and Snow, plus the Grip Control system and downhill control.
