S7 LM ARRIVES WITH 1.318 HP
Despite being announced in the second half of 2016, as we have shown here, only now the new Saleen S7 LM has finally been introduced. The maker, and now maker Saleen, unveiled that version last year as a new limited edition of the original model that had ended production in 2009, but it seems that only now Saleen has really decided to manufacture it, with some major changes. The latest images released by Saleen show a copy with a configuration identical to the one that was revealed just over a year ago, in which even the colors used coincide, so more than likely, it is the same unit. However, their specifications are quite different. If the new S7 LM was announced in 2016 with the same specifications as the optional Competition Package that was available for the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo, which raised its power from 760 to 1,014 hp, Saleen now announces no less than 1,318 hp for same 7.0-liter V8 engine and double turbo of Ford origin.
According to Saleen's statements, these 7 copies will be manufactured at the brand's premises in Corona, California, although it remains unclear whether they will be partly manufactured there, since the original S7 production was actually made in the United Kingdom by the same cooperating company in his development, to Ray Mallok. What is certain is that the new copies will have the same specifications of the original model, so we should not expect many changes in the chassis. This will be steel and aluminum reinforced in certain areas with composite materials and will feature 19-inch wheels on the front and 20-inch on the rear, sidewalks with sporty profile tires.According to Saleen, the new S7 LM has some aerodynamic advances, however, these were not revealed. What appears are some body elements made of carbon fiber in sight, just as it was announced in 2016.
