ACCORD 2018 IN GREATER DETAIL AND NEW IMAGES
Last July, Honda unveiled the new generation of the Accord and now as a reason for its commercialization in the United States, the Japanese brand has released an extensive gallery of images that allow you to enjoy the renewed sedan from all angles.One of the most controversial developments of this tenth generation Honda Accord is related to its engine offer, as the model abandoned the V6 engine, used for the last two decades in its most powerful and equipped version, to make way for a new engine turbo four-cylinder, which shares with the new Civic.Despite what the images suggest, the new Accord is one centimeter shorter than the previous model, in addition to wider and lower. Thanks to the use of aluminum and other materials, it is now up to 80 pounds lighter than its predecessor.

The new Honda Accord 2018 now shares the platform with the new Civic, so the technical and mechanical similarities between both models becomes more evident than ever. The supply of engines to the United States is based on two alternatives to gasoline, the aforementioned 2.0-liter turbocharged 2.0-liter that produces 256 horsepower, derived from that used by the Civic Type-R, and the new 1.5-liter turbocharged 195 cv, which equips the simpler versions and replaces the 2.4-liter used by the previous model.

In addition, there is a hybrid version that uses a 2.0-liter engine, together with an electric motor, achieving a combined power of 215 hp. A six-speed manual transmission, an automatic CVT type, and a 10-speed automatic transmission will be available for the selected engine.
