Thanks to the engineering design that maximizes the strength of the materials, the frame and back balance of the Z900 2018 have become lighter and this has contributed greatly to its final weight of just 210 kg. The choice of five-spoke wheels also contributes to the lightness of the package, bringing direct benefits to better handling. The result is a bike that prioritizes comfort and agility in riding. In addition to being lightweight, the Z900 has a slightly lower seat than the Z800 and Z1000, which allows the driver to be easier to maneuver. Another factor that contributes to this is the widening of the steering angle, which reaches 33º in the Z900.One of the most unique features of the Z900 can only be perceived with the sense of hearing. Kawasaki has carefully researched the components that influence the 'engine sound' and has created a unique and unique hearing note for the snoring of its four-cylinder engine. It is not only in acoustics that the Z900's powertrain excels. With a maximum power of 125 hp and a maximum torque of 100 Nm, it is distinguished by the rapid rise in turn and a strong touch in the mid-rotation ranges. This rapid development is made possible by the adoption of a lighter crankshaft, especially designed for the Z900.

The exchange also contributes to the rapid acceleration of the Z900. The gear ratios were shorter between the first and fifth, so as to prioritize the most used rotations in the day to day, and the sixth gear was developed to be used as an overdrive. Meanwhile, the clutch has five settings on the lever and uses 'Assisted & Sliding' technology, with two different cams, which assists your drive in times of rapid reductions.
And to maintain a light and yet safe ride, the Z900 has a modern braking system. With standard ABS, the bike comes equipped with ø 300 mm semi-floating double disc and dual calipers with four pistons in the front wheel, and single disc ø 250 mm and single piston in the rear. The cushioning system has an inverted front fork with ø 41 mm walking sticks and a back-link horizontal rear suspension. In addition to the mechanical configurations, other highlights of the Z900 are in its aggressive look, which follows the sugomi concept developed especially for the Z line, and its complete and elegant panel, which offers the most diverse functions, including digital tachometer equipped with shift light technology, which indicates gearshift as the engine reaches a pre-programmed rotation. The instrument panel also has a total and partial pedometer, a clock, indicators for driving position and economy steering, average fuel consumption, autonomy and coolant temperature light.
