MERCEDES-BENZ

MBUX - THE COCKPIT REVOLUTION

Traditionally Mercedes-Benz begins the year with the presentation of important milestones in the development of technology participating in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. For more than 50 years the event has been the stage of innovation in the most diverse segments and, in 2018, between the 9th and the 12th of January, it proposes a discussion about the future of cities. Thinking about it, Mercedes-Benz marks its participation with the worldwide presentation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), an intelligent and intuitive multimedia system that starts to be implemented in the manufacturer's automobiles from the launch of the new generation of Class A, still in 2018.The name MBUX demonstrates how much Mercedes-Benz values the user experience and has it as a priority. An exclusive aspect of the system is its learning ability thanks to artificial intelligence technology. The novelty can be individualized and adapts to better serve the user, creating an even more emotional connection between the vehicle, the driver and the passengers. Another novelty is that the system is updated automatically, allowing the customer to always have the latest version ready for use in your car.The system is accompanied by a cockpit with integrated high-resolution screens for the first time with the option of touch control. The navigation display features augmented reality technology as well as intelligent voice control for all speech recognition features, which can be activated with the 'Hey Mercedes' keywords. The MBUX will be introduced to the market in the brand's compact cars, starting with the new generation of A Class later this year. A major highlight of the system, which will also be applied to the model, is the control option via the steering wheel, touch screen or touchpad keys located in the center console. In this way, besides a more intuitive operation, another advantage of the different forms of control of the system is the less distraction of the driver. In addition, focusing on the future of mobility, Mercedes-Benz also displays concepts that combine autonomy and alternative fuel sources during CES 2018. The well-known Concept EQA, smart vision EQ fortwo and the Mercedes-AMG Project One superstar, are the brand's highlights at the event along with the GLC F-CELL pre-production vehicle, combining the advantages of autonomy of hydrogen-powered vehicles with low emission of pollutants, by adding innovative fuel cells and battery to a hybrid car plug-in.

The driving characteristics may vary in relation to the torque distribution on the front and rear axles of the permanent integral drive. The EQA Concept shows which steering program has been selected in its exclusive front grille.
The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE will be the first ride vehicle in history to use Formula 1 hybrid technology. Known as 'hypercar', the model marks the future of performance for AMG. The smart Vision EQ fortwo offers a new vision of individualized mobility, flexible and efficient from the point of view of public transport: the standalone concept seeks the passenger where they select and is the first Daimler Group car to dispense both pedals the steering wheel.Las Vegas was also the last stopping point of the 'Intelligent World Drive', an expedition that led an S Class to test automated functions on five continents. In the later stages, between California and Nevada, the test vehicle collected important information that will aid in the development of the brand's assistance systems. Automated testing in the Los Angeles area and later at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas focused on assessing driving behavior in the city's heavy traffic and highways. The focus was principally on the recognition of school buses, as well as specific country strip and transit signs.
