Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Receives Special Series Pure Dark
To celebrate the success of the hybrid RAV4 in Portugal (the version represents 60% of the sales of the model), Toyota Caetano Portugal is preparing to launch a special edition of the SUV called Pure Dark.This special edition is characterized by a look that distinguishes it from the rest, features 18-inch wheels, side mirrors and black bumper protection, and a new color, Tokyo Red. The cabin is characterized by high quality materials, good finishes and an excellent level of soundproofing.In terms of equipment, the Pure Dark version integrates the active safety system "Toyota Safety Sense" that includes a variety of functions of assistance to the conduction, like for example system of warning of collision (PCS), notice of exit of range (LDA), automatic maxime (AHB), traffic signal recognition (RSA), adaptive cruise control, parking sensors and rear camera whose image is transmitted on a 7-inch touchscreen.

The RAV4 Pure Dark is only available as a 4 × 2 hybrid version. The hybrid powertrain consists of an internal combustion engine of 2.5 liters with Atkinson cycle and an electric motor, the combined power is 197 hp, which allows to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.3 seconds. Traction is transferred to the wheels by an electronically controlled continuous variable transmission.
