SAIPA (Société Anonyme Iranienne de Production Automobile) is together with Iran Khodro one of Iran's two largest car manufacturers. Its R & D center has recently developed a new compact that was launched this year at the Tehran Hall and these days it starts to be commercialized in the Persian market.This is SAIPA Quick, a compact 3.98 meters long that was completely designed by the SAIPA Group in Iran. It is based on the X200 platform that the company developed for its Tiba and Saina models, an architecture built on the bases of the KIA Rio.Outwardly the model receives a crossover style treatment, which includes roof bars, plastic moldings unpainted, protectors in the lower parts, adhesives on the sides of the body, etc.With regard to its mechanical, Quick uses a gasoline engine of 1.5 liters developing 87 horsepower and a maximum torque of 128 Nm at 4000 rpm, and comes coupled to a five-speed manual transmission or automatic CVT.Depending on type, the Quick SAIPA can offer in terms of safety: brakes with ABS, EBD, TPMS and ISOFIX, although neither airbags nor traction and stability controls are available. The equipment can also include: power steering, on-board computer, automatic climate control, front and rear electric windows, and rear-view mirrors with electric adjustment.In addition, it features a multifunction steering wheel, 7.0-inch touch screen infotainment system, integrated navigation, USB, Bluetooth, rear view camera, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearbox, daytime running lights, foglamps, color bumpers bodywork, alloy wheels, etc.SAIPA Quick is the first model of the Iranian company to use a denomination that is not linked to the local language, since the manufacturer intends to export it to other regions.
