Rally: Skoda delivers 200º Fabia R5

The Czech brand reached this week a new commercial record of its competition department with the symbolic delivery of the keys of the 200th Fabia R5 for customers. The owner of the vehicle is the Latvian SRT team who already owns another 5 units of this model. Skoda sold the 200 units to 89 customers from 30 countries who, in turn, have already guaranteed with this car no less than 414 victories participating in rallies from 57 countries.Approved on April 1, 2015, the Skoda Fabia R5 has a remarkable track record in competition in which 2017 was even a golden year. Pontus Tidemand took part in the WRC2, whose team championship was also for the Mlada Boleslav brand, as well as drivers with this vehicle have won 14 national championships as well as the Asia Pacific, Middle East, South American and African championships.



In 2018 the brand also holds high hopes for many more successes as it is again ahead of WRC2, where it has won 4 wins in 5 participations, occupies the top 3 positions in the ERC Junior U28, leads 14 national and Asia Pacific championships. One of the Fabia R5's brand images is also its reliability because in WRC 2017 none of the official cars gave up because of a mechanical problem.
