MANN-HUMMEL

MANN+HUMMEL ESTÁ DESENVOLVENDO UM FILTRO PARA PARTÍCULAS DE FULIGEM DE FREIOS Imagens e fotos de carroBRAND WORKS IN DEVELOPING A FILTER FOR PARTS OF BRAKE FULGEM
More and more restrictions and obstacles have been placed on vehicles for their role in air pollution, which causes hundreds of deaths worldwide each year. While all the foci are placed in emissions as a result of combustion, on the other hand they ignore other fine particles that have a negative effect on human health. However, MANN + HUMMEL presents a new filter for these brake soot particles which is postulated as an interesting solution to this problem. The resulting soot of the brakes is generated by the friction between the brake disc and the pellet, which is mainly composed of particles, and due to its small size, it is harmful to health and the environment. That is why the German manufacturer, a filtration system specialist, is testing a vehicle fleet in conditions close to actual driving, after the relevant tests at the test bench. The particulate filter of brake soot considerably reduces the emission of these particles, and consequently, there is less soot of brakes that can penetrate into the environment. The filter can be adapted in the existing installation space in the part of the brake system, in addition, it is logical, it is suitable for use in any type of engine, in electric, hybrid or traditional thermal cars.

The system consists of a housing that fits perfectly to the brake caliper and a filter that has been manufactured with materials resistant to temperature and corrosion. In addition, this filter also prevents soot from sticking to the wheels. Its design also supposes that it can be installed in commercial vehicles and in railway applications, two applications that cause great wear for the brakes, and therefore, a great quantity of soot.
